Avionics Engineer

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience configuring and operating ArduPilot.
• Ability to tune PID controllers, TECS, L1, as well as FBWA and FBWB modes.
• Experience with the MAVLink protocol, DataFlash/ULog log analysis, and root-cause investigation of failures or crashes.
• Understanding of navigation hardware integration, including GPS/GNSS, IMU, compasses, lidars, and other sensors.
• Proficiency with UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and DroneCAN/UAVCAN interfaces.
• Hands-on experience connecting telemetry, radio control, and video transmission systems.
• Knowledge of onboard power system design and methods for reducing electromagnetic interference.
• Experience programming or modifying ArduPilot functionality in C++ is a plus.
• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or Raspberry Pi single-board computers is welcome.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and integrating avionics for unmanned aerial vehicles.
• Connecting and configuring navigation systems, sensors, telemetry, and payloads.
• Optimizing autopilot performance according to project requirements and platform characteristics.
• Contributing to the development and improvement of software functionality based on ArduPilot and MAVLink.
• Conducting flight tests, analyzing results, and reviewing flight logs.
• Diagnosing malfunctions, determining their causes, and implementing fixes.
• Designing and optimizing power systems for onboard equipment.
